Dom Giordano
Dom’s route to major-market talk radio began where his education work still begins today: inside the classroom.
He taught elementary and high school students in Philadelphia and South Jersey, earning attention for innovative techniques that helped students engage with learning. His education expertise made him a frequent guest on local talk and news programs. In 1987, that second career became the main one when he joined Philadelphia’s WWDB-FM.
Dom moved to Talk Radio 1210 WPHT in 2000 and has remained one of Philadelphia’s defining talk personalities. Across decades behind the microphone, he has interviewed national leaders, challenged political orthodoxies and built a reputation for energetic argument that still leaves room to listen.

The subject that started everything never went away.
Education first brought Dom to broadcasting, and it has remained a defining part of his work. He has hosted education-focused programming, written and spoken about the choices facing parents and regularly examined how schools, political institutions and popular culture shape children.
Old School, New School, Next School brings those strands together. It pairs a teacher’s concern for what students actually learn with a talk host’s willingness to test ideas in public.
A true Philadelphian and the oldest of seven children, Dom grew up near 29th and McKean, attended Bishop Neumann High School and graduated from La Salle University. He later earned a master’s degree in education from Antioch University.
